The Depths of Duskraven Manor

Welcome! This is the prototype demo of Apoptosis Games' upcoming 3D tile-based Dungeon Crawler Horror RPG!

Built in RPG Architect and inspired by titles such as Might and Magic and Undernauts: Escape from Yomi, this demo is just a taste of what I have in store for the full game. Here, you will play through one floor of the Depths, and get a small introduction to the story with Nolan and Selene, two of the planned five party members, as they take on what they thought was a simple extermination job for Donovan Duskraven, a peculiar and enigmatic member of the influential Duskraven family.

This demo is approximately 10-15 minutes beginning to end, and can be played in Windows, Linux, and MacOS.

The full game is now in production, and I am targeting a Q2 2025 timeline for an expanded demo of the full game, and a Q4 2025 timeline for the full release!

UPDATE: 9:30pm CST 10/10/2024. Update 0.1.2 is now available!

This includes further QOL tweaks that help make the prototype experience more enjoyable! Abilities both in menu and in battle now show MP costs (Combat-only Abilities are hidden in Party Menu). KO'd characters now behave correctly and movement has been further tweaked to avoid mid-turn Encounters which can cause your party movement to get stuck at an angle. Just as well, highlighting Attacks, Items and Abilities in Battle now show a description when hovered over them.

With that being said, this will be the final Prototype Demo. I feel the functional foundation is now sufficiently proven to expand The Depths of Duskraven Manor into full game production, and all further efforts will go towards that goal.

The full game will have five set party members, all of whom answered summons from the manor's owner, Donovan Duskraven. He is in need of people with unique skills to delve into the depths under the island manor to exterminate the various evils that dwell down there as a result of many generations of the Duskraven family's seedy activities.

In return, he will grant each of them their nearly-impossible requests that only a Duskraven could grant them.
